About Dataset
This dataset offers monthly CPI values (base 2012 = 100) separately for rural and urban regions of each Indian state and union territory up to May 2023, compiled by MoSPI/NSO. It includes general CPI for all goods and services, along with consumer food price indices, enabling detailed regional inflation analysis. Data collection spans over 1,100 urban markets and villages, providing insights into price dynamics at the sub-national level.
