The AIKosh platform provides access to GPU-enabled Jupyter Notebooks via CDAC’s Airawat infrastructure to facilitate compute-intensive AI and data science workloads. Use of GPU compute is governed by a two-tiered access framework:
- Basic Usage Category
- Access: Self-service; no approval required.
- Session Duration: 4 hours.
- GPU Profile: 5 GB NVIDIA A100 (1g.5gb).
- Slot Options: Users may select from four daily slots
- 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
- 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
- 8:00 PM–12:00 AM
- 2:00 AM–6:00 AM
- Slot Availability: 28 concurrent users per slot (this may vary).
- Booking Rules:
- Maximum 1 active booking at a time
- Maximum 3 basic slots per user per week
- Next slot can be booked only after consumption of the prior one
- Advanced Usage Category
- Access: Requires prior approval by AIKosh Approver
- Session Duration: 22 hours.
- GPU Profile: 20 GB NVIDIA A100 (3g.20gb).
- Slot Options: One daily slot from 10:00 AM to 8:00 AM next day.
- Slot Availability: 8 concurrent users per day (this may vary).
- Booking Rules:
- Maximum 1 active advanced slot at a time
- Next slot can be booked only after consumption of the prior one
- Booking must be made at least 3 working days in advance
- Users must upload all required artifacts ~1.5 hours before slot start (during “Ready for File Copy” state), and download outputs before session expiry.
- All user files and environments are permanently deleted after session termination.
- Booking Restrictions
- No concurrent advanced or basic GPU bookings allowed
- Basic slot booking restricted to 3 per week per user
- No-show or expiration forfeits the slot
- File Handling
- File uploads allowed only during “Ready for File Copy” window
- No upload is possible once session moves to “Ready” state
- No carry-forward of artifacts post session expiration
- File uploads allowed from local system or AIKosh repository
- Session Expiry
- Basic and advanced sessions expire automatically at slot end
- Unlaunched sessions auto-expire and cannot be recovered
- Users must download files before expiry; no grace period guaranteed
- Approvals
- Advanced GPU requests will be approved within 3 working days
- Users will receive reminders and notifications throughout request lifecycle
Disclaimer:- The AIKosh compute offering is currently powered by CDAC’s Airawat infrastructure under a pilot integration model. Provisioning of GPU resources is subject to availability, scheduling constraints, and platform maintenance windows. AIKosh and its administrators reserve the right to modify slot availability, GPU profiles, usage limits, and compute credit policies at any time without prior notice.
- The platform will not retain data retention post session expiry. Users are solely responsible for uploading required artifacts during the permitted window and downloading all outputs prior to session termination. No retrieval of data will be possible after the environment is decommissioned.
- All compute usage must align with AIKosh’s Terms of Use. Misuse of resources, violation of booking rules, or attempts to bypass approval workflows may result in revocation of compute access and disciplinary action as per platform policy.
- To retain access to an active compute session, users must remain logged in from the same browser and device used at the time of session initiation. Switching to a different browser, private/incognito mode, or device will result in automatic termination of the session and permanent loss of progress and data. No recovery will be possible after environment shutdown.
