About Dataset

The Rural WASH Partners’ Forum Yearbook 2023 presents the journey, institutional framework, activities and contributions of the Rural WASH Partners’ Forum (RWPF), established under the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti. The Forum brings development and sector partners together to support the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen (SBM-G) Phase II through technical assistance, knowledge sharing, collaboration and capacity building. The yearbook explains the RWPF’s organisational structure, geographical presence, journey and scope of work. It covers 12 thematic areas, including Faecal Sludge Management, Grey Water Management, Plastic Waste Management, Water Quality Management, Source Sustainability, Operation & Maintenance, IEC, Capacity Building, CSR, IoT and Cloud-Based Computing, Innovation and R&D, and Skilling. The publication documents activities undertaken by major development and sector partners, including Aga Khan Foundation, AIILSG, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, CEE, India Sanitation Council, INREM Foundation, Piramal Foundation, TATA Trusts, UNICEF, WASH Institute and WaterAid. It highlights training and capacity building, technical support, water-quality management, source sustainability, waste management, innovation, community engagement and state-level handholding. The yearbook concludes with a Way Forward, emphasizing continued collaboration and scalable solutions for a cleaner and water-secure rural India.
