About Dataset

This dataset covers October–December 2014 and reports, for each state and union territory, how many public health facilities (by facility type) performed deliveries and how many deliveries were conducted during the quarter. As part of the series of quarterly reports under the national health monitoring initiative, it provides insight into the distribution and usage of public maternal health services over time. Analysts can use this data to compare facility-level delivery load, evaluate increases or drops across quarters, and identify states or facility types where service utilization or capacity may need strengthening.
