The Panchayat Finance dataset for the financial year 2020–2021 provides detailed insights into the fiscal operations of Gram Panchayats (GPs) across Indian districts, capturing the number of GPs onboarded to the Online Payment Module (eGramSwaraj), payment vouchers initiated and approved, and account closures for the year. Published by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj under the National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy (NDSAP), this High-Value Dataset enables monitoring of digital financial adoption, transparency, and accountability in rural governance. Available in CSV format with annual granularity (file size: 37 KB), it includes district-wise data such as from Manipur’s Tengnoupal, Kamjong, and Churachandpur—many of which reported no financial activity. The dataset was first published on 7th April 2022 and most recently updated on 12th February 2025.
