It includes data on employment, input costs, output, fixed capital, and profitability. The survey is a benchmark source for understanding the performance of the formal industrial sector. It also supports the estimation of Gross Value Added (GVA) from the industrial sector in National Accounts. The data collected helps policymakers evaluate industrial growth, identify sectoral bottlenecks, and design targeted industrial policies.
