About Dataset
The Crop Residue Management (CRM) Dataset is a structured collection of data from the CRM scheme implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, starting in 2018–19 across Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and the NCT of Delhi. The scheme was designed to mitigate air pollution and prevent soil degradation caused by the burning of crop residue, by promoting in-situ residue management practices.The dataset includes detailed information on: Distribution and deployment of CRM machinery State-wise and district-wise implementation data Establishment of Farm Machinery Banks for custom hiringAwareness and capacity-building activities Financial allocations and utilization Beneficiary categories and outreach metrics
