Limitation Act, 1963 prescribing time limits for suits, appeals and applications, with extension rules.
This Act bars suits, appeals and applications filed after prescribed periods, which its Schedule sets by type of claim. It covers extension for sufficient cause, legal disability, exclusion of time in earlier proceedings, effect of fraud or mistake, written acknowledgment and part payment, continuing breaches, and acquisition of ownership by possession.
Enables the AI to check whether a delayed-payment claim is time-barred, and to advise how acknowledgments, part payments or earlier proceedings may extend or pause the limitation period.
