Jal Jeevan Mission: Breaking Social Barriers – 2025 documents the transformative impact of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in rural communities across India. The publication presents field-based stories illustrating how access to safe and adequate drinking water through household tap connections is contributing not only to improved water security but also to wider social transformation. The book emphasizes that JJM goes beyond the creation of water-supply infrastructure by promoting dignity, health, empowerment, equality and inclusion. The publication highlights experiences from diverse communities, including Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), minority-dominated villages, women, specially-abled persons and geographically isolated communities.
