Jal Jeevan Samvad – July 2021 (Issue X) is a monthly publication of the National Jal Jeevan Mission highlighting progress, achievements, initiatives and field-level activities under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and the goal of Har Ghar Jal. The issue covers rural tap water supply, Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), water quality, water conservation, community participation, capacity building and implementation experiences across States/UTs.

About Dataset

Jal Jeevan Samvad – July 2021 (Issue X) presents the progress and implementation experiences of the Jal Jeevan Mission, with a focus on achieving the vision of Har Ghar Jal and providing assured potable tap water to every rural household. The issue documents the Mission’s progress in Functional Household Tap Connections, including the milestone of providing tap water supply to households in more than one lakh villages. It also highlights initiatives relating to water quality, drinking water security, rainwater harvesting, greywater management, source sustainability and community participation. The publication includes State/UT-level experiences from Bihar, Punjab, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand. It also covers capacity building and skill development, field visits, grievance redressal, review meetings, webinars, social media activities and important developments concerning JJM implementation. The issue further emphasizes the role of local communities in planning, implementation and operation & maintenance of rural drinking water infrastructure, along with the importance of sustainable water sources and water conservation.
