Jal Jeevan Samvad – January 2024 is the 40th edition of the National Jal Jeevan Mission’s monthly publication, featuring JJM progress, Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) coverage, Information, Education and Communication (IEC) initiatives, WASH awareness campaigns, innovations, field activities and community participation.

About Dataset

Jal Jeevan Samvad – January 2024 presents the progress and key activities of the Jal Jeevan Mission, with a special focus on Information, Education and Communication (IEC). The edition highlights the achievement of tap-water connections for 14 crore rural households and provides FHTC coverage statistics as of 31 January 2024. It documents innovative IEC and behavioural-change initiatives such as the Jal Gyan Yatra, World Toilet Day Rath Yatra Janajagriti Abhiyan, Samman Connection campaign, community wall paintings, water-quality awareness and Field Water Testing Kit demonstrations. It also covers WASH awareness, participatory rural development, collaborative governance, water financing, clean drinking-water innovations, mass-media strategies, water conservation, Viksit Bharat initiatives, field visits, JJM action on the ground, Jal Jeevan Survekshan and National WASH Experts’ visits.

The Publication Aims To Disseminate Information On Jal Jeevan Mission Progress, Achievements, Innovations And Field Experiences; Promote Awareness About Safe Drinking Water, Sanitation And Hygiene; Document Iec And Behavioural-change Initiatives; Encourage Community Participation And Ownership; Share Good Practices And Strengthen Communication Among Stakeholders Working Towards Sustainable Rural Water Supply And Wash Outcomes.
