Jal Jeevan Samvad – February 2024 is the 41st edition of the National Jal Jeevan Mission’s monthly publication, with a special focus on Capacity Building, covering Jal Jeevan Mission progress, sustainable water management, skill development, water quality, community participation and field-level initiatives.
Jal Jeevan Samvad – February 2024 presents major achievements, initiatives and experiences under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), with Capacity Building as its special thematic focus. The issue highlights the National Conference on Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission–Grameen held in Lucknow, along with discussions on sustainable rural development, operation and maintenance, skilling, grievance redressal, citizen feedback, water quality and source sustainability. It documents progress in Functional Household Tap Connections and the achievement of 100% Har Ghar Jal coverage in Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. The issue also features state experiences from Odisha, Assam, Tripura, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh; digital capacity-building initiatives; women’s empowerment and drudgery reduction; groundwater management; WASH; SDGs; water quality testing; and field-level action and reviews.
The Publication Aims To Document And Disseminate Jal Jeevan Mission Achievements, Experiences, Innovations And Best Practices, With Emphasis On Capacity Building, Skilled Human Resources, Sustainable Water Management, Quality Monitoring, Operation And Maintenance, Community Participation And Institutional Strengthening. It Promotes Knowledge Sharing Among Stakeholders And Supports The Mission’s Goal Of Providing Sustainable, Quality Drinking Water To Rural Households.
