About Dataset

The September 2025 edition of Jal Jeevan Samvad presents stories, progress updates and field experiences from across rural India under the Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen. The issue highlights the role of Sarpanches as WASH champions in translating national programmes into local action through community mobilisation, Village Water and Sanitation Committees, water conservation, source sustainability, operation and maintenance, and institutional accountability. It covers the progress of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), Har Ghar Jal, water security initiatives, groundwater recharge, rainwater conservation, sanitation and hygiene. The edition also features grassroots experiences from Moga, Dhar, Ladakh and other regions, along with initiatives under MGNREGA and the Sujalam Bharat Summit.
