The Exploration section provides statistics on deep drilling rigs, wells and metreage drilled by ONGC and OIL, exploratory and development drilling, well status, and state-wise achievements of geological, geophysical and drilling field parties. Crude oil statistics cover state-wise reserves and company-wise and state-wise production on calendar- and financial-year bases. Natural gas statistics include state-wise reserves, gross and net production, utilisation and industry-wise offtakes.
