HISTORICAL REFINARY CAPACITY

The Historical Refinery Capacity dataset provides refinery-wise installed crude oil refining capacity in India from 1 April 1998 onwards. Published by the Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC), it presents annual installed capacity for public and private sector refineries, enabling analysis of capacity additions, refinery expansion, and the long-term growth of India's petroleum refining industry.

About Dataset

The Historical Refinery Capacity dataset is an official statistical dataset published by the Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG), Government of India. The dataset provides annual refinery-wise installed crude oil refining capacity in India from 1 April 1998 onwards, offering a comprehensive historical record of the country's refining infrastructure. The dataset contains installed refining capacities expressed in thousand metric tonnes (TMT) per annum for individual refineries operated by both public sector and private sector companies.
