Mapping rural inhabited areas using drones to provide legal property ownership under the SVAMITVA scheme.
The SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) scheme is a transformative initiative aimed at establishing clear ownership of residential properties in rural inhabited (Abadi) areas. By deploying drone technology to map land parcels, the scheme provides accurate Record of Rights to village household owners. These efforts culminate in the issuance of legal ownership documents, such as property cards or title deeds, ensuring formal recognition of property rights, reducing disputes, and enabling access to bank loans and other financial services.
