About Dataset

This dataset provides district-level information on manufacturing sector Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) registered under the Udyam Registration system in India. It includes cumulative counts of enterprises categorized into micro, small, and medium segments, along with LGD district codes for geographical mapping. Covering data from 2020 onwards, the dataset supports evaluation of industrial growth, regional concentration of manufacturing activities, and policy effectiveness. It is useful for identifying manufacturing hubs, tracking formalization trends, and enabling targeted industrial development strategies across districts.
