This dataset contains district-level socio-economic indicators for all 30 districts of Odisha and the state total, across 17 sectors including agriculture, irrigation, population, education, health, industry and infrastructure.
This dataset is the District At a Glance (DAG) 2026 compilation for Odisha, India. It provides key statistical indicators for each of the 30 districts and the state total, organised into 17 sector files: administrative setup, irrigation potential created, rainfall, MSME, handlooms, handicrafts, population, crop production, land utilisation, fertilizer consumption, roads and railways, education, health, post offices, village electrification and banking, animal husbandry, fishery and SHG bank linkage. The data are compiled from state and central departments, including the Directorate of Agriculture (DAFP), Special Relief Commissioner, Directorate of Industries, Directorate of Textiles, Directorate of Handicrafts, Registrar General of India, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, OSEPA, Directorate of Higher Education, Directorate of Health Services and AYUSH, Department of Posts, SLBC, Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Directorate of Fisheries and the Mission Shakti Department. Most economic, agricultural and infrastructure indicators refer to 2024-25 (banking, post offices and electrification as on March 2025; health as on March 2024; SHG 2023-24), while population, sex ratio, literacy and village counts are from Census 2011 and livestock counts from the 20th Livestock Census (2019). Projected population for 2025 is also included. All figures are aggregated at district level and contain no personal information. District names follow Census 2011 official spellings, and a data dictionary gives the unit, source department and reference period of every column. The dataset is useful for researchers, policymakers, district administrators and analysts studying regional development, comparing districts and tracking change across DAG editions.
