About Dataset

This dataset provides state and UT-wise data on the number of persons who died while cleaning sewers and septic tanks from 2016 to 2019. Sourced from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, it covers four years and supports analysis of state-level trends in sanitation worker fatalities, identification of high-risk states, and monitoring of progress under the MS Act 2013 and NAMASTE scheme for elimination of hazardous manual cleaning.
