Daily-updated rural sanitation data under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), covering Gram Panchayat, block, and district-level Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) coverage across Indian states and union territories.
This extensive dataset provides granular, daily-updated insights into the status of rural sanitation coverage under the Government of India's flagship Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM). It includes comprehensive data on Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) coverage at the Gram Panchayat, block, and district levels, reflecting both the planned targets and actual achievements. Specifically, the datasets capture region-wise sanitation progress in various districts, such as Medchal, Jhargram, Purba Bardhaman, Siddipet, and several others, mainly across Telangana and West Bengal. The data facilitates close monitoring of sanitation infrastructure roll-out, planning for resource allocation, and identifying gaps in toilet coverage. The purpose is to ensure every rural household has access to safe and sanitary toilet facilities, thereby reducing open defecation and improving public health. This dataset supports policy decisions, program reviews, and citizen engagement efforts through transparent and accessible information.
