The UDISE+ 2019–20 dataset for Chandigarh reports the number of school teachers by gender; their academic and professional/training qualification; the classes they teach (primary through higher-secondary); the school category; and the type of school management.
The dataset for Chandigarh (2019–20) offers a detailed breakdown of the teaching workforce across all recognised schools in the district/UT. For each school (or aggregated at district-level), it includes the number of teachers disaggregated by gender; their academic qualifications; their professional or teacher-training qualifications; the classes or levels they teach (from primary up to higher secondary where applicable); the school category; and the type of school management (government, private, aided, etc.). This allows for comprehensive analysis of teacher deployment and distribution — such as gender balance, qualification/training levels, class-level teaching coverage, and differences across school types and management regimes — which can inform assessments of educational equity, resource allocation, capacity planning, and policy evaluation in Chandigarh.
This Dataset Provides A Basis To Analyse Teacher Distribution, Qualification Levels, Teaching-coverage By Class Levels, Gender Balance Among Teachers, And Variation Across School Types And Management Structures In Chandigarh (Union Territory) For The Academic Year 2019–20 Under Udise+.
