Calendar of Level-1 KRC Training Programmes is a schedule of training programmes designed for capacity building and knowledge enhancement in the field of rural drinking water supply under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The calendar, updated as on 01 February 2022, provides programme-wise details including dates, mode/type of training, training topics, and the concerned Knowledge Resource Centre/institute. The programmes cover a wide range of technical, managerial, institutional and operational aspects of rural water supply. Key areas include service delivery and functionality of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), transformation of Gram Panchayats/Village Water & Sanitation Committees (GPs/VWSCs) into utilities, participatory planning and operation & maintenance of rural drinking-water supply projects, public utility approaches, strategic planning for bulk water transfer and achievement of Har Ghar Jal. The calendar also covers specialised subjects such as sensor-based IoT systems for monitoring rural water supply, water quality monitoring and surveillance including WQMIS, water safety planning, smart water management and water audit, climate-change risks and water security, greywater management, energy audit, environmental and regulatory aspects, and the use of artificial intelligence and blockchain in big-data analysis. The programmes are offered through online, residential and webinar modes and are conducted by various institutions/Knowledge Resource Centres, including the Indian Institute of Public Administration, Indian Institute for Human Settlements, Engineering Staff College of India, The Energy and Resources Institute, National Law School of India University, IIT Bombay and other institutions.
