This assessment was conducted during 2022 as part of the Government of India's initiative to evaluate the functionality and sustainability of piped water supply systems across rural India. The report provides a detailed analysis of water supply services covering multiple dimensions including functionality status, water quantity, supply regularity, and water quality parameters. Under the Har Ghar Jal initiative, 317 villages in the district have achieved the milestone of providing functional household tap connections to all residences. The methodology employed cross-sectional research design using Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) mode for data collection from sampled villages and households. This comprehensive assessment provides valuable insights for evidence-based decision-making to enhance rural water supply services and achieve the vision of Har Ghar Jal across the nation.
