The AMI dataset provides structured data on the development of post-harvest marketing infrastructure in India, including warehouses, cold storages, and rural markets, detailing project types, locations, and financial support provided to beneficiaries like farmers, FPOs, and agri-preneurs
The AMI dataset is a comprehensive collection of data on projects supported by the AMI scheme, a sub-scheme of the Integrated Scheme for Agricultural Marketing (ISAM), to strengthen agricultural marketing infrastructure in India. It would detail projects involving the creation and renovation of godowns and warehouses, the development of rural haats into Grameen Agricultural Markets (GrAMs), the establishment of common facilitation centers for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and the development of marketing infrastructure within market yards. The dataset would also include data on mobile infrastructure for post-harvest operations (like reefer vans), stand-alone cold storages, and infrastructure for direct marketing and integrated value chains up to primary processing. Information on eligible beneficiaries (individuals, FPOs, cooperatives, state agencies), project locations, capital costs, sanctioned subsidies (25% for plain areas, 33.33% for NER and hilly areas), storage capacities, and beneficiaries' contribution would be included.
